Mass Ministry
Become involved in Mass ministry by viewing the different roles below:
Our Worship Commission organizes Sunday Masses, as well as the variety of devotions that are part of our rich Roman Catholic Tradition.
Additionally, this committee organizes the various ministries of the parish, including Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, servers, offertory families, Hospitality Ministers, lectors, and special considerations for seasonal celebrations.
Laity who assist the clergy in the distribution of Holy Communion during Mass, as well as to those who are home-bound or sick, are called "Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion."
If you are interested in becoming an EMHC, you will require a brief training by a lay minister or the pastor.
You can learn more about the practice of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion from the US Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Serving at Mass and other liturgies is an important role because the server is assisting, not just the priest, but the whole worshipping community. Hence, altar servers are called to be aware of their role and their responsibility in performing it well.
Hospitality Ministers welcome parishioners and visitors, assist the faithful before and during Mass, taking up the collection and distributing bulletins after Masses. We hope to provide a welcoming, joyful entrance to our church through greeters who reach out to open doors and say, "Hello!" to all who enter.
Hospitality Ministers may also assist in the weekly attendance counts of the Mass attendees in an effort to measure our engagement and ministries from year-to-year.
To get involved, contact Jeff or Tom, or click the Ministry Scheduler Pro button below.
Lectors are readers, who proclaim the Word of God at liturgies. All new lectors will have a training session prior to being assigned.
